If it’s Thursday, it’s Game Night in Teen Central! Teens in grades 7-17 can join us for video games, board games, collectible card games, Minecraft, and more. We’ll also be rolling dice and playing Dungeons & Dragons on the first Thursday of every month. Free.
Tweens can explore their techie interests at Tween Tech Night. The first 30 minutes are guided instruction, and the rest of the time tweens can explore different technologies
and coding in both digital and analog ways. Drop in at any time during posted hours. For children ages 9 — 12. Free.

Adults can learn how to create a greeting card and envelope using the Maker Studio's Cricut cutting machine! Learn the basics of the Cricut Maker machine and become familiar with the workflow of assembling cards. All materials provided. The Local History & Genealogy Center will host a genealogy orientation night every month. Anyone can stop in for a tour of the department, handouts, database demos, and instruction on researching their family history. No registration is required. Free.
Each participant should bring a copy of a short story, book chapter, poem, play, or any form of creative writing that they created and would like to share. Please limit to 5 pages. Help your student be a better reader! Book Buddies provides after school one-on-one reading practice and reading-related games. Children in grades 1 — 4 may sign up for a 30-minute session to practice reading in a fun, stress-free environment with a trained volunteer. Learn about the history of Barbie at this program for adults! Since 1959—when career-woman and Barbie's mother, Ruth Handler, took on the engineers at Mattel (who told her that little girls wanted to play with baby dolls, not grown-up lady dolls)—up to the present, Barbie has been 10 steps ahead of the game. Barbie owned her own dream house and car, when real women needed fathers or husbands to co-sign their loans, and she went to the moon before the astronauts did.
