Talking Books Program

The National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, through the Library of Congress, offers a free program for individuals of all ages who have a disability that prevents them from reading regular print.

Individuals in Trumbull County who are visually limited have the opportunity to participate in the free Talking Books program through the Library of Congress National Library for the Blind and Print Disabled. Qualified individuals will be supplied with a special Talking Book machine that plays “books” and “magazines.” Materials are sent directly in the mail to clients from the Ohio Library for the Blind and Physically Disabled. Library staff can provide customers with an application for this free service.
