Warren-Trumbull County Public Library Executive Director Selected to Participate in Leadership Mahoning Valley Class of 2027

(09/02/2026) – Warren-Trumbull County Public Library Executive Director and Fiscal Officer Kimberly Garrett has been selected to participate in Leadership Mahoning Valley for the class of 2027.

This immersive, nine-month program connects participants to the people, organizations, and issues shaping the Mahoning Valley. Through engaging speakers, site visits, tours, and hands-on experiences, participants gain a deeper understanding of key community sectors, including history and heritage, government and justice, health and human services, business and economic development, education, housing, and quality of life.

Leadership Mahoning Valley selects exceptional candidates who have demonstrated leadership talent in their fields as well as an interest in community activities. The Leadership organization provides a mechanism for those women and men with an effective network of community contacts.

“I am honored to have been selected for Leadership Mahoning Valley’s Class of 2027, an opportunity that I consider a privilege and a testament to my dedication to community collaboration and outreach,” Garrett said. “It is a recognition that inspires me to continue striving for excellence in serving our communities.”

Leadership Mahoning Valley is a non-profit corporation created to identify individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences who demonstrate leadership talent and community commitment. Created in 1984 and governed by a volunteer board, LMV is one of more than 300 community leadership programs in the United States and is a member of the Association of Leadership Professionals (ALP).

The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library system includes libraries in Brookfield, Cortland, Eastwood Mall, Howland, Liberty, and Warren; a Bookmobile; Pop-Up Library; Library-By-Mail service; and a 24/7 website at www.wtcpl.org.
