W-TCPL Deputy Director Selected to Participate in Library Leadership Ohio

(07/21/2026) – Warren-Trumbull County Public Library Deputy Director Dr. Jo Phillips has been selected to participate in a statewide library leadership program.

Phillips will join with other library leaders from around the state this July at Library Leadership Ohio 2026 (LLO). The State Library of Ohio and OhioNet announced the cohort of library leaders selected to participate in the program based on outstanding leadership potential, collaborative spirit, and deep commitment to the profession. 

Phillips earned her doctorate in organizational leadership from the University of Dayton and her MLIS with a specialization in youth services from Kent State University.

“I’m deeply honored to be selected for Library Leadership Ohio,” Phillips said. “I look forward to learning alongside colleagues from across the state as we continue strengthening ourselves and the impact of our libraries and the communities we serve.”

Library Leadership Ohio spans nearly 30 years and includes hundreds of alumni in a variety of positions in libraries across Ohio and across the country. With programming focused on personal development and transferable leadership skills, LLO fosters connections and collaboration within Ohio’s diverse library community.

The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library system includes libraries in Brookfield, Cortland, Eastwood Mall, Howland, Liberty, and Warren; a Bookmobile; Pop-Up Library; Library-By-Mail service; and a 24/7 website at www.wtcpl.org.
