Warren-Trumbull County Public Library Adds Lactation Pod

(02/04/2026) – A new lactation pod that provides a comfortable, private space for families has opened inside the Children’s Department at the Warren Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW in Warren. The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library (W-TCPL) system has acquired a MomSpace Double Lactation Pod from Spaceworx USA.

According to Executive Director/Fiscal Officer Kim Garrett, since opening the newly renovated Children’s Department a few years ago, the library had noticed an increased need – and received many requests – for a private, comfortable space where new parents can nurse, pump, or simply tend to a baby’s needs in comfort.

The space also provides a quiet area for caregivers whose children may become overstimulated and need a calm environment for a brief sensory break before returning to explore and play.

As always, the library’s goal is to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone. This addition reflects the library’s continued commitment to supporting families and meeting the evolving needs of the community, Garrett adds.

The library received a community grant from the Warren Kiwanis Club to help fund this project, and the remaining balance was paid for with a donation from the Warren Library Association.

The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library includes locations in Brookfield, Cortland, Eastwood Mall, Howland, Liberty, and Warren; a Bookmobile; Pop-Up Library; and Library-By-Mail Service.
