September is Library Card Sign-Up Month: Uncover the Possibilities

(08/30/2023) – The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library (W-TCPL) invites you to visit the library and sign up for a free library card or use your card to “Uncover the Possibilities!”

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, a time when the W-TCPL joins the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide to remind everyone about the valuable resources available with a library card.

From borrowing books, eBooks, and audiobooks to getting computer help, learning new skills, or attending a book club or story time, a library card helps everyone do more of what they enjoy – all without stretching their budget.

The W-TCPL, along with libraries everywhere, continues to adapt and expand services to meet the evolving needs of our community. From borrowing streaming movies to attending fun events, there’s something for everyone at the library.

To sign up for a full-service library card, stop by any W-TCPL location (in Brookfield, Cortland, Howland, Liberty, Lordstown, or Warren) or visit the Bookmobile. For information about signing up for a digital library eCard, visit the library website at www.wtcpl.org.

To celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month in September, those who register for a new W-TCPL library card can receive a free mini magnifier or color-changing pencil, and current and new cardholders can participate in a Library Scavenger Hunt between Sept. 5 – 30, 2023, to be entered in a drawing for a $30 Regal Cinema gift card (one winner at each W-TCPL location).

Since 1987, Library Card Sign-Up Month has been held each September to mark the beginning of the school year.
