Roll Out to the Library this September for Library Card Sign-Up Month

(08/27/2024) – The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library (W-TCPL) joins with the American Library Association and libraries nationwide in celebrating Library Card Sign-Up Month this September. The community is invited to discover the incredible resources and opportunities available at your local library by signing up for a library card.

This year, Optimus Prime from the TRANSFORMERS is the special ambassador for Library Card Sign-Up Month, highlighting that there’s more than meets the eye at the library. Whether you’re looking to enhance your skills, find valuable information, or connect with fellow avid readers, a library card unlocks a world of possibilities.

Today’s libraries are vibrant community centers offering much more in addition to books. At the W-TCPL, you’ll find diverse programs, computer and tech services, storytimes, book clubs, author talks, and more. From borrowing books, eBooks, and audiobooks to streaming movies, a library card helps everyone find more of what they enjoy – all without stretching their budget.

Anyone who lives, works, attends school, or owns property in Ohio is eligible to sign up for a free W-TCPL library card. To sign up for a full-service library card, stop by any W-TCPL location (in Brookfield, Cortland, Howland, Liberty, Lordstown, or Warren) or visit the Bookmobile. For information about signing up for a digital library eCard, visit the library website at www.wtcpl.org.

Don’t miss out! Visit your library this September to sign up for a library card and discover all that your library has to offer.

Since 1987, Library Card Sign-Up Month has been held each September to mark the beginning of the school year. The annual event encourages parents, caregivers, and students to sign up for a free library card that will save them money while offering rewards in academic achievement and lifelong learning.
