Library of Things

The Library of Things is a non-traditional collection of tools, gadgets, and games that can be borrowed from the library to learn a new skill, enjoy a hobby, access a technology, or complete a short-term project.

Library of Things items can be directly checked out from the Warren Library or may be requested through the library’s online catalog for pickup at any W-TCPL location. Click the button above to search the Library of Things collection and place a hold to request an item.

Borrowing & Loan Terms

  • Up to five Library of Things items may be checked out at one time.
  • All Library of Things items check out for 21 days. No renewals are permitted on items in the Library of Things collection.
  • Adult full-service library cardholders age 18 and older may borrow both adult and juvenile items in the Library of Things collection.
  • Juvenile full-service library cardholders may borrow only juvenile items.

Admission Passes

Explore popular local family destinations for free when you check out an admission pass from the library! Free community admission passes to the OH WOW! Children’s Science & Technology Center in Youngstown and to the Akron Zoo are available to borrow with a W-TCPL library card.

Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis at any W-TCPL branch.

  • Passes may be checked out for 7 days
  • Passes may not be placed on hold
  • Library cardholders may borrow one pass at a time

Take your pass with you for entry to the destination and enjoy a day of discovery!
