Help your student be a better reader! Book Buddies provides after school one-on-one reading practice and reading-related games. Children in grades 1 — 4 may sign up for a 30-minute session to practice reading in a fun, stress-free environment with a trained volunteer. Come learn a new game, meet people, and have fun! We’ll be playing games like Catan, Ticket to Ride, and other modern favorites. Players of any skill level are welcome, from beginners up; a librarian will be there to teach the game to everyone.
Beginning in January 2024, the Local History & Genealogy Center will host a genealogy orientation night every second Wednesday of the month. Anyone can stop in for a tour of the department, handouts, database demos, and instruction on researching their family history. No registration is required.
