Discover the Ohio Literary Trail with a virtual tour June 15

(06/02/2021) – The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library will host a free virtual tour of the Ohio Literary Trail at 2 p.m. on Tues., June 15 online via Zoom.

Participants are invited to join presenters Betty Weibel and Helen Bolte for a tour of the Ohio Literary Trail from the comfort of home to discover Ohio’s rich literary heritage through more than 70 sites.

The Trail shines a spotlight on Ohio’s literary treasures and the state’s role in shaping culture and literature worldwide. Participants will discover historic homes, museums, library collections, and historical markers honoring great authors, poets, and influencers of the literary landscape.

This presentation will focus on Northeast Ohio and include highlights from other regions around the state.

Presenters:

Betty Weibel of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, is the author of “The Ohio Literary Trail: A Guide” and Trustee of Ohioana Library Association. She is a long-time public relations professional, nonfiction author and former newspaper reporter.

Helen Bolte of Columbus, Ohio, serves on the Board of Trustees for Ohioana Library Association and is an Adult Services Librarian for Fairfield County District Library. She is a former teacher and school librarian.
