Celebrate the Holidays with the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library

(11/26/2024) – Many festive free holiday events are planned at Warren-Trumbull County Public Library locations during December.

A variety of musical performances will be held at the Liberty Library, 415 Churchill-Hubbard Rd., in Youngstown. The Steel Valley Ukers will perform at 2 p.m. on Tues., Dec. 3. Guitarist Tyler Guerrieri will perform at 6 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 11. The Liberty High School Choir, under the direction of Donna Popio, will perform at 6 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 18 at the library.

The holiday season will kick off at the Howland Library, 9095 East Market St., between 6 – 7:30 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 4 with a festive event. The evening will feature holiday songs by Amanda Beagle at 6:30 p.m., and at 7 p.m., Santa arrives. Children can make crafts throughout the evening, and refreshments will be available courtesy of the Friends of the Howland Library.

Bring the family to celebrate the spirit of the season between 6 – 7:30 p.m. on Thurs., Dec. 5 at the Cortland Library, 578 Lakeview Dr., in Cortland. There will be crafts for children and holiday music by guitarist Tyler Guerrieri. Cookies and punch will be served, and Santa will visit. This program is made possible by funding from the Friends of the Cortland Library.

As part of Warren’s annual Hometown Holidays event, the Warren Library will host a Candy Land Lane program between 4 – 6:30 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 14 at the Warren Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW. Families with children ages 6 and younger can enjoy holiday activities and crafts and learn about resources for families with young children.

The Brookfield Library is partnering with Brookfield Township at the Jingle & Mingle Community Event. The outdoor event takes place between 6:30 – 8 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 14, on the Green near the Gazebo. Guests will enjoy refreshments, activities, and more, including holiday stories and a sing-a-long with the Brookfield Library’s own Mrs. Claus!
