Afterschool Snack for Children and Teens now Available at the Warren Library

(9/01/2023) – The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library is partnering with Children’s Hunger Alliance to provide afterschool snacks to children and teens at the Warren Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW, beginning Sept. 5 and continuing through the school year.

Snacks are provided at the library between 4:30 – 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, including holiday breaks. The snack must be consumed at the library but is free to all children and teens in grades K – 12 and requires no sign up.

Snacks will be served in the Warren Library Program Room located on the first floor between KidSpace and Teen Central.

According to the Children’s Hunger Alliance, over 400,000 children across Ohio live in food-insecure households.

This U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) At-Risk Afterschool Meals program is administered by the Ohio Department of Education and sponsored locally by the Children’s Hunger Alliance.
