(09/16/2024) – Free basic notary service will be available to individuals by appointment only beginning Sept. 23, 2024, at most Warren-Trumbull County Public Library locations.
Notary service appointments will be available free of charge between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the libraries in Brookfield, Cortland, Liberty, and Warren; and between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at the Lordstown Library.
Beginning Sept. 23, notary appointments may be requested through an online booking system on the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library website at www. WTCPL.org or by calling the library. Notary appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. No walk-ins will be accepted.
Notaries at the library cannot notarize documents including real estate transactions, wills, corporate documents, documents with more than 10 pages, or documents not in English. An individual who needs a document notarized must appear in person and present a valid form of government-issued photo identification.
A notary public is not a licensed attorney. Notaries cannot provide legal advice, nor can they assist in the preparation of legal forms.
