Beginning in January 2024, the Local History & Genealogy Center will host a genealogy orientation night every second Wednesday of the month. Anyone can stop in for a tour of the department, handouts, database demos, and instruction on researching their family history. No registration is required.

They will have a sled, equipment, and items used during the Iditarod and talk about the different types of jobs Siberian Huskies have when pulling a sled.
